Director of Undergraduate Admissions

This position will provide daily leadership and supervision, direction, problem solving, team building, and evaluation of staff. This position will develop and manage a recruitment program designed to attract a high quality and diverse pool of freshmen and transfer students from in- and out-of-state markets.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in college student personnel, educational leadership, higher education administration, student development or a related field from an accredited college or university. Considerable related progressively responsible prior work experience in admissions at an administrative level involving the management of personnel. Prior experience with integrated student information systems, preferably with Ellucian Banner Software, Client Relation Management solutions (CRMs), and using data as a rubric for analysis and assessment. Some experience in the implementation and evaluation of university recruitment and operational processes. Considerable knowledge of and familiarity with strategies and tactics for success in recruitment from inquiry to matriculation. Some knowledge of Banner, the University's student information system. Some knowledge of innovative technologies used in recruitment and application processing is required. Strong oral and written skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent reading comprehension skills. Strong organizational, planning and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and make distinctions among competitive applicants. Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively both verbally and in writing to individuals and large groups of prospective students and families, secondary school personnel, alumni, current students, as well as administrators and faculty. Ability to develop congenial and productive working relationships with university administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
