Emergency Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
These positions are only available to Virginia Tech Students who live on campus.
Provides first response (within 15 minutes) to Emergency maintenance issues for DSA by carrying assigned cell phone while on shift. Repairs or contains emergency until staff can respond. Notifies upper management as needed. Provides customer service support to the department. Documents and tracks within work order system.
3 positions paying $170 to $200 a pay period as well as $15.00 an hour for actual work (minimum of 1 hour).
Available Shifts:
First position- Friday 10:00 pm - Sunday 12:00 am (26) $170
Second position- Sunday 12:00 am- Monday 7:00am (31) $170
Third position- Monday 10:00 pm - Tuesday 7:00 am, Tuesday 10:00 pm - Wednesday 7:00 am, Wednesday 10:00 pm- Thursday 7:00 am, and Thursday 10:00 pm- Friday 7:00am (36) $200

Required Qualifications:
These positions are only available to Virginia Tech Students who live on campus. Interested applicants should be able to work at least one of the advertised schedules, and meet the required 15-minute response time.
Ability to interact effectively with various levels of users and occupants of buildings and facilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision and to operate within a team based environment. Excellent customer service skills a must.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Construction or Maintenance.
