Who can apply: University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Students
All students applying must meet the requirements listed below:
1. Minimum cumulative 3.0 USA G.P.A
2. Must be in good standing with the school.
3. First term students are not necessarily eligible for assignments
Your GPA will be confirmed by the registrar prior to hire. Students are allowed to work a max of 10 hours per week based on availability.
Duties can include:
- Wellness Center
- Tutors
- Room monitors
- Library
- Wet, Dry, and Modalities Lab
- Commitment on working special events such as White Coat Ceremonies, Seminars and Graduation
- Facilities / Maintenance
- Front Desk Call Center
- Teaching Assistant
- Other Special Assignments
Additionally, to work in the Wellness Center, one must meet the above criteria; you MUST have an up-to-date CPR/AED certification; and along with the recommendation of having one or more of the following:
An undergraduate degree in an exercise/clinical related field such as Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, Sports Management, Kinesiology, etc.
Certified Personal Trainer
Knowledge of gym equipment including machines and weights and fitness/exercise routines.
Students placed in any of these positions will be required to complete the application form, which can be found on the www.usa.edu website at employment opportunities, St Augustine, FL, prior to receiving their work assignment.
