Postdoctoral Associate

Position Summary:
As a fully competent Postdoctoral Associate in all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional area of the assignments, plans, and conducts work requiring judgement with in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modifications of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed tasks of the identified phase as part of major projects.
- Serve as an on-site researcher at the project location and to conduct existing research projects in the area of research.
- Supervise daily activities of graduate and undergraduate students in their research, and develop research work plan for new proposals and prepare archived and conference papers.
Directions given and received:
Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. Receives instructions on project objectives, feedback on proposed research plans, and project logistics from principal investigators and project managers. May supervise or coordinate the work of graduate research assistants, students, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignment.s

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in job related discipline.
The willingness to work in a fast-paced research environment, including managerial skills to potentially coordinate technicians, researchers, undergraduate and graduate level students.

Preferred Qualifications:
Good writing skills; particularly with respect to report writing and editing.
Creative, independent, and highly motivated, with good communication skills.
Strong work habits and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Strong organizational skills to coordinate technicians, researchers, undergraduate, and graduate level students.
Demonstrated evidence of effective documentation habits.
