CLINICAL ASST PROFESSOR

Job Description: The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University seeks a rehabilitation specialist with interventional skills to enhance services at the Musculoskeletal and Spine Clinic, in conjunction with ECU Physicians Neurosurgical and Spine Physicians. The clinic provides ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance for musculoskeletal procedures, with therapists onsite. Opportunities are available for the performance of EMG, SSEP, VEP, and phenol blocks. Research is a valuable asset, and the desired candidate will participate in didactics with residents, rotating medical students, and occasional research students. The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is housed within the Vidant Rehabilitation Center of Vidant Medical Center, with Spinal Cord, Brain Injury, and Pediatric Rehabilitation Units. Much of our work is done with regional satellite facilities. We also provide services at a Level I Trauma Center, and a CARF-accredited seventy-five bed LTACH facility in Rocky Mount, NC. Eastern North Carolina is a beautiful coastal plain region, with ready access to crystal beaches and a variety of cultural and recreational activities. Applicants must comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act. The base salary for this position will be enhanced by a productivity-based incentive plan. Compensation includes base salary and productivity-based bonus plan.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Health Hospital. Vidant Health is the flagship hospital for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.


Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
