ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE

Job Description: Under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing a comprehensive monitoring program related to NCAA financial aid requirements. Duties include but are not limited to processing athletic aid requests from all sports, ensuring renewals/non-renewals are processed appropriately, monitoring each sports NCAA aid limitations, monitoring outside scholarships, assisting with rules interpretations and rules education efforts, coordination of NCAA reports, oversight of NCAA Bylaw 16 (Extra Benefits) and other duties as assigned.

Administers and processes all sports athletic aid requests to ensure compliance with applicable NCAA legislation (e.g., team financial aid limits, individual limits, etc.)

Assists with the department's efforts of ensuring compliance with conference and NCAA rules and regulations related to financial aid requirements.

Assists with all NCAA related initiatives including compliance rules education, compliance monitoring, coordination of required NCAA reports, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.

Coordinates and meets with coaches, administrative support personnel, student-athletes and campus constituency groups as needed.

Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate area of specialization with at least two (2) years of appropriate experience or a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one (1) year of appropriate experience. The successful candidate should possess knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to financial aid and a working knowledge of LSDBi and CA. Strong interpersonal skills; must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
