Job Description: Full time 12 month Research Assistant Professor/Research Associate Professor position with a joint appointment in the Center for Sustainability (CfS) and the Institute for Coastal Science and Policy (ICSP). The CfS is housed in the College of Engineering and Technology (CET). Both organizations are focused on interdisciplinary research and outreach. The CfS and ICSP are working to develop collaborative research in the area of water resources engineering. There is a strong history of collaborative work in coastal water resources involving the faculty in ICSP, CfS, and departments such as Geological Sciences, Biology, Engineering, and the social/behavioral sciences.

This position will meet critical research and service needs in both organizations. The successful candidate must serve as a catalyst for new research projects, lead and/or facilitate multi-partner research programs, and will be expected to apply for external funding. Teaching duties will split between CET and ICSP.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates are required to have a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in an engineering field from a regionally accredited institution and conferred at the time of hire. A demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary research is required.
