Job Description: The Department of Pediatrics, Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is seeking a full-time academic Pediatric Nephrologist for the position of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.

It is expected that the candidates will assume an active teaching role and pursue an area of investigative interest in either clinical or basic research.

Greenville, North Carolina is located two hours west of the outer banks and two hours east of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, and is the home of East Carolina University offering undergraduate and graduate programs to over 17,500 students. Programs in art, drama, music, business, allied health, and nursing are among the many excellent degrees offered.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Hospital. Vidant is the flagship hospital for the University Health System of Eastern Carolina and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Fixed term or tenured-track position available.


Minimum Qualifications: Medical degree from an appropriately accredited institution. Applicants must be board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible/certified by the American Subspecialty Board of Pediatric Nephrology.

Proficiency in all aspects of clinical pediatric nephrology, including home and in-center dialysis, transplantation, continuous and replacement therapies and apheresis.
