Job Description: The Department of Biology at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, the third largest campus in the University of North Carolina System, invites applications for a Teaching Instructor position in Biology beginning August 14, 2017. This fixed-term faculty position is full-time for the 2017-2018 academic year. The individual will be expected to teach majors and non-majors Biology courses including introductory biology and human anatomy and physiology, both face-to-face and online. The individual will also be asked to provide mentoring to, and conduct reviews of, other faculty members teaching online but with limited online experience.
Minimum Qualifications: M.S. in Biology or a Biology-related field, such as Public Health is required. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Experience is required in lecture and laboratory teaching at the University level. Experience in distance (online) education and in teaching anatomy and physiology required.
