ASSESSMENT ASSOCIATE

Job Description: The Assessment Associate works as part of a team who report to the Director of Institutional Assessment and assumes responsibility for projects that support the assessment functions at IPAR. The Assessment Associate may serve as a member of institutional and divisional committees, task forces and councils.

The Assessment Associate is responsible for developing technical solutions to manage assessment processes and maintain efficiency; implementing general education assessment processes and procedures; serving as a consultant to faculty and staff in support of assessment or specialized accreditation requirements; serving as a liaison to Institutional Planning and Accreditation in support of regional accreditation, new program development and strategic planning; and developing interactive reports and dashboards using assessment and institutional data.

Technical Support related to Assessment:
-Developing and implementing technical solutions to streamline assessment processes and improve efficiency,
-Serving as the administrator and primary campus contact for an institution-wide assessment tracking and reporting system, working with faculty and staff to create and maintain accurate curriculum maps, and monitoring established assessment cycles in order to facilitate timely completion,
-Consulting with faculty and staff on assessment and specialized accreditation issues that require development and implementation of customized data collection, tracking and reporting solutions,
-Supporting colleges/divisions to identify, collect, analyze, and report on a variety of assessment data as needed, and
-Maintaining and updating the website for Institutional Assessment, and developing internal document sharing sites (e.g., SharePoint sites)

General Education Assessment:
-Developing and implementing technical solutions for the ongoing assessment of the general education curriculum (i.e., sampling, data collection, review of and dissemination of results), and assisting faculty in using the results to make improvements.
Institutional Planning and Accreditation:
-Designing and developing platforms to collect evidence and present complex assessment and accreditation reports (e.g., SACS-COC compliance reports),
-Supporting new program planning and development, as well as strategic planning and assessment reporting

Data Analytics and Visualization:
-Serving on the Interactive Reports Development Team at IPAR, preparing and uploading datasets to the data warehouse, and creating interactive reports in ECU's online analytics portal,
-Serving on IPAR's Dashboard Development Team, creating dashboards and infographics using assessment and institutional data


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, education, information technology, social sciences, or other relevant disciplines
-One year of relevant work experience, which may include (1) survey research or educational assessment, (2) regional or specialized accreditation, or (3) data visualization, or technology support, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
-Proficiency with data analysis, reporting and the dissemination of assessment related data
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented
-Attend to multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
-Ability to work independently, and with diverse groups
-Ability to work as a member of a highly effective team
