Job Description: Musical Theatre vocal trainer, coach - East Carolina School of Theatre and Dance (NAST accredited) seeks Teaching Instructor of Vocal/Singing Pedagogy for competitive BFA - Musical Theatre program. Provide instruction of group and private singing lessons in a pre-professional training curriculum, preparing students' voices for "real world" application in Broadway style commercial musical theatre. Additional responsibilities may include functioning as a consultant for playhouse musical productions.


Minimum Qualifications: Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and/or Performance; or alternate professional competencies and achievements such as related graduate education, related professional certifications, related work experience, honors and awards. All education must be documented from an appropriately accredited institution or certified as equivalent to required accredited education. Candidate must demonstrate expertise in current musical theatre vocal pedagogy and stylistic application, with specialized training in Contemporary Commercial Singing techniques. S/he must be well-versed in traditional (classical or "legit") vocal training techniques.
