The director is engaged with academic deans, department heads, external agencies, and other key stakeholders in the planning, execution, promotion, and advocacy of distance learning degree programs and related initiatives. In addition to programmatic dimensions, responsibilities include oversight of support functions such as student recruitment and retention, instructional technology and academic support, physical facility management, marketing, financial, and personnel management.
