Visiting Assistant Prof. of Classical Archaeology

Visiting Assistant Professor of Classical Archaeology 

The Department of Ancient Mediterranean Studies at the University of Missouri, Columbia, invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant professor in Classical Archaeology for the academic year 2019-2020. PhD is required by the start of the appointment (August 2019). 

We seek an archaeologist with expertise in the East Mediterranean. The teaching load is 3-3: two large undergraduate courses (Archaeology of Ancient Lives; Ancient Technology), two midsized courses (Gender and Society in Antiquity; Greek Art and Archaeology), and two split-level seminars (Greek Cities and Sanctuaries; Aegean Bronze Age; or a course in area of specialization). Additional responsibilities will include participation in a one-hour interoductory methods course (graduate level) as well as assisting with department workshops, special activities, and social media sites.
