Job Summary | The HR Business Partner Senior will work to ensure the areas within the Office of the Executive Vice President of Health Affairs ( EVPHA ) receive sufficient strategic and human resource project support. Support includes performance management consultation, HR program/process development and maintenance, staffing metrics and design, protocol development, and reorganization assistance. This position reports directly to the Director, HR Business Partners & Enterprise Learning. Primary responsibilities include: Building and maintaining relationships with key leaders within the Office of EVPHA , with the goal of anticipating ways to advance business objectives through HR best practices and program/service delivery. Providing project management leadership for multiple simultaneous initiatives from point of concept development through project completion. Partnering effectively with core HR units including HR Compensation, Employment, Training and Development and Employee Relations to proactively identify and communicate support required to meet project deliverables, removing barriers and identifying creative solutions. Providing leadership, guidance and performance management for two HR Staffing Specialist direct reports. Leading HR process and service delivery improvement initiatives, with emphasis on documenting and communicating workflows, protocols, tools and/or process changes to best support end-users. Prioritizing communication efforts between service line leaders and core HR areas to promote alignment and understanding of business and HR objectives/goals. Providing senior leadership with timely and appropriate information to assist in strategic decision making. Contributing to overall HR goals and initiatives focused on meeting UK Strategic Plan goals. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The successful candidate must have significant HR professional and technical knowledge specifically in the areas of performance coaching and employee relations as well as significant project delivery expertise. Must be able to create strong positive and productive working relationships with senior leadership and facilitate the development of effective cross-functional teams. Must have demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, follow-up, attention to detail, and planning and organizational skills as well as high emotional intelligence are all keys to success in this position. The ability to successfully coach, influence, and persuade others as well as a high level of respect for confidentiality and diversity are also crucial attributes. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Prefer degree in HR, business, management or related field. Strongly prefer HR experience in a healthcare environment, ideally with an academic medical center or hospital system. |
