Email Marketing Coordinator, Office of Communications and Events

EMAIL MARKETING COORDINATOR, Resource Development , to execute and help shape email campaigns that strategically engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward MIT's diverse constituency. Will build, test, and send email messages and assist with the creation and preparation of analytics reports in order to enable frontline development staff to maximize philanthropic investment in MIT in the context of an ambitious fund-raising campaign.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field; two years' related experience in digital marketing or communications; experience creating and implementing professional digital marketing campaigns including developing strategy, crafting/editing content, and personally completing all technical elements of the process; experience with email service providers such as Watson (formerly Silverpop), iModules, Salesforce, Constant Contact, Exact Target, MailChimp, etc.; experience with email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid); experience with HTML, CSS, and content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress, and Google Analytics; experience with Mac systems, Adobe products (especially Photoshop), Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and large enterprise databases or CRM systems; strong planning, scheduling, and project management skills; initiative; ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, set priorities, and juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; willingness to lend a hand to colleagues; tact and good judgment; meticulous attention to detail; experience extracting, manipulating, and vetting data sets; and a desire to the learn the business of resource development in higher education. Experience with G-Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.), collaboration tools (e.g., Basecamp, Slack), higher education/nonprofit fund-raising campaigns, writing content for email and other digital marketing efforts, proofreading and line editing, events, and web design preferred.
