FP&M AIM APPLICATION ANALYST


Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for helping UW-Madison's Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) departments use the AiM (Assetworks) software. This position will also write queries and reports in the AiM software to drive decisions and support operations, project management, service delivery, and maintenance of the campus facilities and space.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or two years of relevant professional work experience in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field will equal one year of applicable higher education level requirement.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a business analyst or application administrator, working with diverse project teams comprised of functional stakeholders and technical personnel.

Additional Information:
- Extensive working knowledge in the Information Technology field, especially in the area of AiM (Assetworks) or other enterprise-wide systems.
- Experience working with SQL preferably in BIRT.
- Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools querying and report writing from a data warehouse, such as Pentaho.
- Experience documenting business processes and understanding and explaining business process functionality.
- Knowledge of Cloud computing implementations.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel pivot tables.
- Knowledge of relational database concepts.
- Demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with a culturally diverse workforce, including the ability to negotiate and solve problems with multiple constituencies.
- Experience collaborating with functional and technical experts to accomplish complicated project goals.
- Strong customer service skills to quickly and effectively respond to the needs of
departmental staff and campus customers.
- Experience using various problem-solving techniques.
- Experience working in higher education and campus environments is preferred.
