Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous retail operations experience preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Job Purpose:
Acts as lead for assigned department and/or location. Assists leaders in the supervision of assigned associates. Responsible for maintaining assigned area, maximizing sales and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides supervision and leadership for assigned location and staff
2. Responsible for assigned department and/or location's opening/closing store procedures
3. Assists with marketing in-store promotions, product displays and visual merchandising as assigned
4. Handles various customer service related matters involving retail clients, campus customers, and others needs
5. Assists in the enforcement of loss prevention policies and researches and investigates any related issues
6. Assists in planning, organizing, conducting, and reconciling yearly physical inventory
7. Performs returns of damaged, expired, and/or unused merchandise according to policy and associated guidelines
8. Assists in keeping sales floor and back room appropriately stocked, organized, and clean
9. Assists in accomplishing daily departmental operating tasks and goals
10. Performs cash/credit handling processes, data entry duties and other activities
11. Ensures shift and/or daily sales reconciliation is complete and accurate
12. Assists in hiring student assistants
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
* Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
* Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
* Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
* Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
Funding for this position is based on revenue generated funds and therefore continued employment is based on availability of these funds.
