This member of the DDS Residential team will report to the Program Manager. He/she is responsible for the health, safety and quality of life of persons in an intensive group home. This position will supervise DSP staff during the evening shifts.
Primary Duties:
- Assists with supervisory responsibilities
- Interview, select and hire employees
- Direct, assign, schedule and transfer employees
- Planning and training of employees
- Discipline and discharge employees for just cause
- Make recommendations on the retention, compensation, promotion, layoff and/or recall of employees.
- Completes all necessary weekly/monthly reports.
- Make sure that medication administration is in accordance with MAP regulations
- Provides support and interventions that are grounded in the developed behavior plans for the individuals served
- Assist Program Manager in ensuring that the program and individuals records are current, comprehensive and meet agency and funding source standards.
- Liaison with families/guardians, DDS, and other outside service providers.
- Provide 1:1 or small group community outings with people served.
- Be knowledgeable of each person's risk, behavioral and crisis management plans and of any staff directives to ensure the safety of persons served, other residents, and staff.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology or related field preferred.
Experience: Experience working in both group living environments for people developmental disabilities. At least two (2) years of experience in human services required and management experience in human
Skills: Must have a Driver's license. Must be MAP certified with five months of hire. Must complete CPR/First Aid certification during orientation.
