Learning & Development Spec

In support of the University's mission, Human Resources partners with University communities to provide a broad array of programs and services contributing to a progressive and productive work environment that meets the challenges of a changing world.

Within Human Resources the HR Training, Learning, and Development (TLD) team provides career and professional development programs for Tufts employees. The programs are offered regularly at all campuses throughout the year in the areas of supervisor and manager skills, business skills, customer service, and communication skills. In addition to the programs offered on the training calendar for open registration, TLD provides custom learning and development solutions as required or requested by units across the university

Under general supervision, responsible for facilitation and delivery of a variety training programs that are aimed at supporting and building university staff and management competencies and skills. Meets with clients and subject matter experts to assess training and development needs, then designs, develops and implements new training initiatives as necessary to meet client requirements. Maintains existing educational programs, reviewing and modifying materials and conducts training sessions, selecting and utilizing appropriate instructional aids.


Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications including advanced Word and PowerPoint, intermediate Excel, experience using eLearning software
  • Knowledge of instructional design process and experience designing and developing instructor led training content
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, project management skills
  • Flexible and focused on customer and continuous improvement







Special Work Schedule Requirements:


Ability to travel between all three Tufts campuses (Medford/Somerville, Boston, Grafton) as needed
