Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
Under general supervision, the Coordinator of Web Marketing manages the TSU website in order to enhance TSU's overall online marketing and communication efforts. The Coordinator also serves as a project leader for the use of TSU's website content management system ( CMS ).

Essential Duties Summary
Serves as primary liaison to TSU academic and administrative units and departments with regard to use of the content management system ( CMS ); conducts CMS training as needed to ensure that all unit/department content managers are equipped to keep their assigned pages current and within brand guidelines; facilitates a university-wide CMS user's group. Manages online marketing and communication efforts; including the TSU web site and other online communication tools such as MyTSU and Blackboard. Updates and enhances the Office of Marketing & Communications and top-level university web pages (including the Office of the President), keeping information and resources current and accurate, including university news, advertising materials, branding resources, and more. Coordinates the conversion of print publications and materials to the TSU website, including brochures, newsletters, annual reports and other marketing and promotional materials. Analyzes website traffic and user engagement metrics via the CMS , Google Analytics and other tools. Utilizes Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ) strategies to maximize TSU's online presence. Performs other job-related duties as may be required.

Education
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or Computer Information Systems or related field from an accredited four-year college or university, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience with comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must also have the ability to use and oversee web content management systems. Must have the ability to use personal computers, experience with the Adobe Creative Suite applications, as well as Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Work Experience
Requires three (3) to five (5) years of experience in website design, content creation and CMS oversight, to include project management. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment and procedures.

Lead worker over others in similar jobs and/or provide work leadership and direction for students and/or employees.

Work Complexity/Budget Authority
Tasks are multiple and focus more on single processes. Work is sometimes standardized and sometimes varied. No responsibility for budget, revenues and expenditure authority.

Performs duties within scope of general University policies, procedures and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures and practices. Refers exceptions to policy and procedures to the supervisor.

Some contact with others, including students, general public, visitors and University personnel. Purpose of contacts is to provide or obtain explanation or additional information.

Customer Service Relationships
Requires moderate interpersonal and communication skills to ensure that customer requests or needs are met. Acknowledges and clarifies customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure that needs are identified, documented and addressed.

Working/Environmental Conditions
Work is performed within routine office environment with no exposure to hazardous or unpleasant conditions. Physical demands are usually limited to sitting or standing in one location much of the time. Some stooping, lifting or carrying objects of light weight may be required.
