Job Description:
The Director leads the process for strategic marketing at Massasoit Community College in a concise and compelling manner. This position plans and executes effective campaigns designed to position the college among all key constituencies, including current and prospective students, alumni, faculty, staff, and donors, as well as legislators and public officials.

This position reports to the Director of Creative Services with a dotted line to the Vice President for Advancement to oversee all marketing and community engagement that enhances the College's visibility, brand development, internal marketing, enrollment development, community relationships to support advancement, continuing education, credit enrollment, and initiatives present in the college's strategic plan.


Specific job responsibilities include:
Lead strategic marketing development for the college to enhance its reputation and advance its mission.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in College Communications to produce an actionable marketing plan in support of the college's strategic plan that raises visibility and awareness.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Creative Services on all digital marketing including social media platforms and web presence.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Creative Services to manage internal client marketing relationships to conceptualize and develop marketing materials and multimedia projects for various college departments/divisions.
Develop and execute new strategic marketing initiatives and projects.
Maintain a schedule of and status report for all ongoing and upcoming marketing campaigns for managing tactics and working with communications team.
Keep a record of all marketing campaigns that have been employed on behalf of the College, including detailed budgets associated with such campaigns.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of marketing campaigns to provide strategic recommendations.
Assess and evaluate market analysis and benchmark against peer institutions to design marketing strategies.
Conduct/utilize market research, including audience research, message strategy, target audience, and higher education trends.
Evaluate and improve effectiveness of marketing campaigns through periodic assessment and outcomes measures.
Report on analytics and market research to inform College Communications and the campus community of the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives.
Stay abreast of and capitalize on social media trends. With the Director of Communications and Public Relations help develop and maintain the day-to-day "voice" of the College and community in social media and web platforms, creating both proactive and responsive communications.
With the Director of Communications and Public Relations develop and maintain social media programs that have measurable, beneficial results. Ensure that content adheres to SEO best practices.
Work collaboratively with College Communications team to develop and implement web marketing strategies and campaigns in support of the College's enrollment goals as well as other constituent group projects through social media channels, creative writing and communications content creation. Ensure that content adheres to SEO best practices.
Work with external contractors and be able to effectively collaborate with internal constituents across campus as well as with the president and senior leadership team.
Working collaboratively with the Director of Creative Services establish strategic direction for publications, print advertising and collateral, digital media, and photography in the generation of projects, ensuring maintenance of marketing objective and themes. Maintain appropriate strategic planning and production in consultation with the colleagues.
Contribute to the department's ongoing content marketing efforts, including the managing and production the alumni newsletter, and social media channels of the College. Assist with the administration and development of web content, writing, photography and video production.
Ensure consistency and accuracy of content and branding of College website.
Work with internal print shop and external vendors to coordinate production of marketing print materials.
With the Director of Creative Services develop production schedules for new and on­-going projects. Ensure proper distribution of materials both online and in print.
Coordinate departmental work as appropriate from conceptualization to delivery; setting timelines, deadlines, and production schedules.
Work collaboratively with the College Communications team to develop and execute initiatives across all campus locations.
Establish positive relations and interactions within College Communications, across campus, and within the external community.
Foster strong partnerships across campus with external-facing departments to help develop, support, and coordinate recruitment, marketing, and branding activities.
Foster a results-driven environment.

Work effectively as a liaison between various departments/users to ensure that services, quality and costs are balanced.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional and personal networks.
Alter schedule when necessary to accommodate work requirements. Some nights/weekends will be required.
The ability to travel between the three college locations.
Continuously assess outcomes and improve processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Skills:
Manage and set strategic marketing process and direction, and be able to set priorities within the college's overall goals.
Project planning­.
Experience in and knowledge of social media marketing.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, print ads, etc.).
Knowledge of print production techniques and methods and costing for services.
Experience working with vendors and contractors for services.
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priority assignments.
Outstanding creativity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service.


Requirements:
Master degree in Marketing or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic marketing.
Significant experience in marketing, branding, and building and sustaining external relationships.
Excellent track record of leading collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent project development and management skills.

Additional Information:
Position Status: Non-unit Professional, full-time state funded with benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $68,223.00 - $88,689.00
