Summer Conference Event Coordinator
Job Description: The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the operational logistics for Summer Conferences & Graduation ceremonies in June. Responsibilities include: coordinating overnight housing, dining, and facility usage logistics, customer service support, liaison between campus support services, and providing office support during evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree by May 2019
- Experience working in event planning or similar environment
- Strong organizational skills and communication skills
- Enthusiastic, friendly, patient and compassionate
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Valid driver's license preferred
Reports to: Director of Conference Services/ Director of Operations/ Event Managers
Begin/End: April 23 - August 19, 2019. Not to exceed 500 hours.
Days/ hours: April - June - up to 20 hours/week Monday - Friday between 8:30 & 4:30 pm. June - August- up to 35 hours/week Monday - Friday between 3 pm - 11 pm with some weekend hours required.
Where will they work: ROTC 206B / Donovan Community Room
Hourly Salary range: $17-19/hr.
Budget range salary only - $8,500 - $9,500
