12-Month, Tenure-Track Position

ANTICIPATED START DATE:  March 2019

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of professional experience in graphic design, desktop publishing, print and related media design, and project management with proven track record of success in producing layout and design, designing and preparing documents and production schedules and excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Mastery of graphic design software;
  • Ability to produce visual and print media and artwork for institutional use;
  • Strong writing skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with a culturally and ethnically diverse population;
  • Strong project management and customer service skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Knowledge of Adobe Suite, particularly In-Design, Illustrator and Photoshop; MAC proficient. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Under the direction of the Marketing Coordinator, the Graphics Specialist is accountable for graphic arts and print media design, developing and producing visual and print publications, collaborating with other communications staff in the development of effective, useful communications for the college’s internal and external publics.

The Graphics Specialist will be required to serve on assigned committees and/or task forces and attend and participate at convocation and commencement ceremonies, department and special meetings, and state-mandated trainings.  Work schedule may include evenings and weekends.

ANNUAL SALARY:  $53,774.00 approximate annual salary, with full benefits package.
