Physical Requirements | This position will require regular computer work and sitting/standing at a workstation for long periods of time; navigating campus and hospitals for meetings; occasionally lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs; and repetitive motion. |

Job Summary | The Staffing Specialist will collaborate with College of Medicine leadership hiring managers and Integrated Business Unit ( IBU ) staff to support the hiring and the onboarding processes. Responsibilities include: providing consultation on best practice and coordinating the hiring process from point of position request entry through onboarding of the new employee; customer service through the delivery of effective communications to hiring managers and hiring process coordinators regarding proper procedure and timelines in all areas of Employment; compliance through assurance that all assigned position requests and/or Employment requisitions are successfully completed per department standard operating procedures ( SOP ), related UK policy and procedures and relevant state and federal employment laws and through Organizational Improvement and Professional Development initiatives.. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | We are seeking an individual with initiative, superior customer service focus, team orientation, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships, and expertise in the full Microsoft Office Suite. A successful candidate will also have HR professional knowledge, the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Solid time management, problem solving, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills are all critical to success in this position and a high level of drive for inclusitivity and adherence to the principles of confidentiality and diversity are a must. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Degree in Human Resources or related; significant work experience in human resources with a focus on the hiring processes; experience utilizing SAP , IES , Position Review, and/or related systems; driver s license preferred. |
