Degree and area of specialization:
-Bachelors degree required, preferably in Behavioral Health or related field.
-Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or related field preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
-At least 2 years of relevant experience required, related to promoting best practice in substance use disorders and/or mental health services.
-Experience in quality assurance and/or quality improvement required.

-Title prefix and salary will be dependent on relevant years of experience.

Position Summary:
This position will work within the Bureau of Prevention Treatment and Recovery (BPTR), in the Mental Health Services Section and assist with the promotion and implementation of best practices within community-based recovery-oriented programs in Wisconsin. This position will focus on providing training, technical assistance, and quality assurance and improvement services for various psychosocial rehabilitation services, with a primary focus on Community Recovery Services (CRS). BPTR has oversight of these programs and responsible for the quality assurance and improvement of the CRS program. The CRS benefit provides psychosocial rehabilitation community based services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. This position will be responsible for additional support to the psychosocial rehabilitation services programs, including Community Support Programs (CSP) and Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), through activities such as consultation, assistance to counties, providers, and consumers in regards to behavioral health treatment, and identification of systems issues in need of quality improvement. This position requires intermittent travel to ensure quality across all statewide psychosocial quality services programs.

Criminal and/or Caregiver Background check is required.

Knowledge/Skills Required:
-Behavioral health experience including writing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans.
-Previous experience or training in quality assurance and/or quality improvement.
-Demonstrated skill in working independently and within a team and with a variety of stakeholders.
-Ability to organize work to meet program deadlines, while working on numerous tasks at the same time
-Detail oriented with strong organizational and management skills
-Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
-Improvement in community based settings for Medicaid covered services
-A working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft suite, e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point.

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:
-Experience providing training, education, or professional development (e.g. training colleagues, providing professional trainings, presenting at a conference, etc.).
-Familiarity with Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programs (i.e. CCS, CRS, CSP).
-Understanding how to implement best practices.
-Ability to provide training and author training materials that clearly communicate intended principles, values and concepts.
-Understanding of other best practice system transformation concepts such as Person-Centered Planning, Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change and Recovery Concepts
-Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practice implementation to enhance impact of training and technical assistance provided
