Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in education, health care administration, or closely related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
1. Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
2. Previous administrative and/or program support is preferred.
3. Previous experience working in Emergency Medical Services (EMS)/ healthcare setting, as well as familiarity with ACGME and other accrediting bodies, is highly desirable.
4. Experience in education administration and/or office management in a heath care setting is preferred.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Position Summary:
The BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is seeking a Student Services Coordinator/Associate Student Services Coordinator to manage the complex administrative and daily operations for the DEM Division of Prehospital Medicine. The department is composed of 50+ faculty physicians, 36 resident physicians, 24+ advanced practice providers, and a growing number of staff members. The Student Services Coordinator/Associate Student Services Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative support to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) faculty, Med Flight faculty, and prehospital educational programs, including EMS courses, ALS Consortium, and relevant fellowship programs.

The position requires outstanding program management, administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work independently and proactively. Basic understanding of regulations regarding accrediting bodies, University policy and procedures, and the ability to exercise good judgment is highly desired. Responsibilities include continuous tracking, prioritizing, organizing, problem solving and communicating of multiple ongoing initiatives at various stages of progress. Additionally, expectations include performing administrative duties to meet faculty/fellow, department, hospital, and UW Health goals, as well as assist faculty and fellows in the successful performance of their clinical, teaching, administrative, and research activities.

The Student Services Coordinator/Associate Student Services Coordinator will function under general supervision and reports primarily to the Director of Education and Academic Affairs, and subsequently to the Department Administrator and Department Chair, working in conjunction with the EMS Medical Directors and Division of Prehospital Medicine leadership team.
