Registrar Assistant for Technical Support

School of Law

Summary:

The Registrar Assistant for Technical Services handles all back office operations for grading and exams. Creates google docs and spreadsheets necessary and oversees the ExamSoft software. Assists with

technical research and issues.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for ExamSoft:

  • Keep current with software updates though webinars and discussions with customer service representative and keep office current of changes.
  • Email all new students in first semester about software installation.
  • Assist in training proctors on software screens.
  • Craft messaging to students regarding exam process and software.
  • Create files for midterms and finals in software and keep information updated.
  • Assist students with Issues during midterms and finals.
  • Assist with review of student exam logs.
  • At faculty request, investigate student activity to ensure exam received was complete.


Exam Processing:

  • Process all exams after completion.
  • PDF all typed exams and scan all written exams for professors.
  • Run scantron forms and email results to professors.
  • Create an exam status spreadsheet and special views of it as necessary.
  • Email faculty requesting midterm exam information and create and update shared midterm and early final spreadsheet.
  • Assign rooms for final exams and students with accommodations.
  • Create and update room utilization spreadsheet.


Grading:

  • Export gradesheets to professors upon request.
  • Enter midterm grades into Banner.
  • Enter grading components on gradesheets at professor's request.
  • Create and update grade status shared spreadsheet.
  • Enter grades submitted manually.
  • Email students with Dean's Awards and Dean's List.
  • Enter SWR information on table and note completion.
  • Assist faculty with Electronic Gradebook.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Update queries as necessary.
  • Assist other departments with their databases.
  • Assist Dean's Suite administrators and staff with technological issues.
  • Research technological problems as requested and update information on website and on osc.
  • Order diplomas and replacement diplomas.
  • Send information on how to request replacement diploma.
  • Review incoming students for submission of official transcript.
  • Email students and put holds on students not in compliance.
  • Cover front desk as needed.
  • Work one night a week (10:30am -6:30pm).


Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Knowledge of Banner, Access and Excel preferred
  • Excellent technical skills required
  • Customer service skills necessary for dealing with students, staff and faculty
