Program Manager


The Learning Communities office is currently seeking a Program Manager who will coordinate the recruiting, hiring, selection, onboarding, and weekly timekeeping for student staff members. The selected individual will also provide various planning and logistical support to the office.

Office Operations and Oversight:
  • Under direction of the office director or leadership team
    • Prepare staff agendas and minutes
    • Help draft intra-office communications and workflows
    • Maintain office schedules and TOFW requests
    • Support unit Director and leadership team members, as assigned, with projects and tasks
  • Manage unit listservs, Blackboard organizations, and other similar communication related to student employment
  • Supervision/coordination of undergraduate assistants/front desk workers
    • Maintaining desk staffing
    • Serve as first-stop for difficult student questions or concerns
    • Tracking hours and work study limits
    • Serve as liaison for all Work Study questions and extensions with Financial Aid office


Student Staff Support:
  • Student Worker Timekeeping and Payroll processes
    • Complete timekeeping and timesheet collection for all programs and student employees
    • Develop and execute training for student staff around timekeeping
    • Coordinate with professional staff to streamline timekeeping and payroll operations
  • Student Worker recruitment and selection processes
    • Oversee application posting and timelines, including recruitment events
    • Coordinate interview schedules and material preparations (references, folder prep, etc.)
    • Interview applicants, as needed
    • Track applicant pool, offers, and student hiring information
    • Issue offer letters
    • Liaise with Undergraduate Programs HR Office for hiring hand-off
    • Organize Learning Commons in-person onboarding with HR staff
    • Ensure accurate staffing counts, pay rates, terminations, and "org" placement
  • Track centralized training requirements
    • Enter student staff infractions and points based on centralized training schedule
    • Post reminders and notifications about required trainings
    • Track students completing eligible Honors experience requirements


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree with three (3) years' experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years' experience; -OR- seven (7) years' experience.
  • Experience must be in program development or business administration.


This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
