Position Summary Information

Position Summary
The Financial Aid management technician provides technology and communications support by monitoring and maintaining financial aid programs. Banner and Cognos reports are reviewed daily to ensure proper processing of the PHEAA state grant program, national guard EAP , Chafee, and ready to succeed. Additionally the incumbent will maintain our financial aid website. Excellent customer service skills are utilized in person, or via telephone and email when providing information regarding FAFSA , and other aid-related financial aid programs, procedures, deadlines, and policies. The ability to work independently and to possess excellent organizational skills is essential.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information or any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in financial aid (preferably two years or more); knowledge of financial aid programs, policies and procedures; grants experience; Banner; Cognos; spreadsheets/reports; and budget maintenance.
Applicants with experience working with diverse populations and excellent verbal communication skills are also desired.
