MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE, MIDDLEBURY, VT 05753The Department of Philosophy seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor (ABD or PhD) for a one-year term position, beginning September 2019, in AOS: Metaphysics, Epistemology, or Philosophy of Science; AOC: same as AOS, plus Logic. The successful candidate will teach five courses over the course of the 2019-2020 academic year, including one introductory course in logic. Additionally, (s)he must be able to supervise approximately two senior majors as they write independent research papers. Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to excellent teaching within a liberal arts college environment and scholarly potential, as well as commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity on campus.
