Senior Marketing Assistant

SENIOR MARKETING ASSISTANT, Alumni Association, to work closely with staff members dedicated to digital marketing and direct mail for the Annual Fund, including campus-wide annual giving initiatives. Will be responsible for the production and execution of major e-solicitation campaigns, emails associated with the annual fund's integrated mail/email campaigns; gathering email data and providing readable data report summaries; assisting with technical duties surrounding the development of several crowdfunding projects per year by working with MIT departments, student groups, or other community partners to launch projects; proofreading mail lists against data requests and sending test emails to ensure accuracy of variable text and readability on multiple platforms; assisting with the compilation and analysis of results; attending project meetings to garner the information necessary to manage the production schedule of long-term projects; developing project briefs; and handling the matching gift process.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years of communications and/or administrative experience; strong computer skills, including Excel; a commitment to customer service; strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills; flexibility; attention to detail; and ability to work with minimal supervision, juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor's degree and knowledge of desktop publishing (specifically Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and Watson Campaign Automation or a comparable email platform (MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.) preferred.
