The College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is looking for a Psychologist. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Job Summary: The primary job responsibility will be to provide clinical support to the Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience Department.

Duties include the following:
  • Provide consultations and assessments for patients, both within the clinics and in the hospital
  • Conduct individual and family psychotherapy
  • Provide crisis management and case coordination
  • Function as member of interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Provide education and support regarding psychosocial and behavioral issues to medical school faculty, attending physicians, nursing staff, residents, interns, medical students, and other trainees.
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings, Staff Meetings, and Clinical Training Seminar meetings.
  • Fulfill medical records, billing, HIPPA, and other administrative requirements associated with patient care.
  • Implement Cancer Institute Stress Reduction services for patients, family members, and staff.
  • Assist in teaching and consultation for medical students, fellows, pastoral care residents, and other trainees and attending re: psychosocial aspects of care (e.g., treatment adherence, patient-physician communication, end-of-life decisions, psychiatric comorbidities, substance abuse, family and cultural issues, etc.)


Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology, Licensed in the State of Ohio
