Position Summary
This position requires the ability to plan ahead and prepare for the delivery of catering orders and other food to various locations around the Middlebury campus. Time management is essential. Preparation includes gathering and necessary items for events, loading the catering truck, setting up the event, retrieving items from events when they end, and unloading the catering truck at the end of the event. Laundry delivery and pick up will be included in responsibilities. Schedule will primarily be weekdays early morning to noon but does require flexibility. In slow periods the person in this position will be asked to fill in at other positions in the board plan operation including light prep work, cleaning, inventory and other supportive duties.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.

Sets up necessary items for events based on the requirement of the event sheet.

Loads and unloads the catering truck.

Delivers food and products to various locations.

Keeps catering area organized.

Organizes items such as plates, cups silverware, linen, serving platters, bowls, utensils etc. to accompany catering events.

Fills beverage vessels with hot and cold beverages.

Check event orders and get together the needed supplies for each event.

General Responsibilities

This position is a set up and delivery driver for catered events and laundry. It requires planning out each day to see where things are need, and to get them there on a timely basis

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education

High School Diploma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be at least 18 years old

Valid driver's license

Must pass Middlebury College Driver License test

Able to work cooperatively with others and accept directions from supervisors

Experience
Some previous food experience and delivery experience preferred

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Requires frequent repetitive reaching, lifting, bending, and twisting motions
