Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Five or more years of professional experience in research or general administration within a higher education environment.

*Knowledge of financial budgeting principles, forecasting and modeling tools, ability to perform complex analyses of financial data and to present information effectively in written and graphic reports
*General understanding of university research administration and facilities management

Title and pay will be determined at the time of hire based on candidate qualifications and experience.

Position Summary:
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCRGE) provides oversight for the institution's broad research enterprise including a university-wide array of faculty and staff research programs with total annual expenditures of more than $1 billion, and promotes graduate education and research by enhancing funding support from internal and external agencies including the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF). The OVCRGE is responsible for an array of multidisciplinary research centers and institutes, as well as sponsored program administration and research policy and compliance.

This position is a part of the OVCRGE administrative team, reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Administration. The Analyst has a broad set of responsibilities, overlapping and coordinating with all areas of OVCRGE administration in support of data analysis, administrative planning, and oversight of centers/institutes.
