Adjunct Instructor- Landscape Architecture

The Landscape Architecture Program in the School of Planning in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati is seeking candidates for Term Adjunct positions. Term adjuncts are appointed on a semester-by-semester basis as part-time faculty.

The successful candidate will contribute knowledge and skills to the studio or seminar courses for the Master of Landscape Architecture program, specifically in topics such as sustainable landscape design and construction, visualization, professional development, and landscape history.

The Master of Landscape Architecture program in the School of Planning began in the summer of 2017. The School of Planning offers the MLA I First Professional Degree with intentions for LAAB accreditation, as well as two options for Post Professional degrees with thesis and/or thesis/project topics in The Business of Design/The Design of Business or in collaboration with allied fields within the College, including Architecture, Fine Art, and Industrial Design. The School of Planning within the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning prepares professionals for distinguished practice and spatially-based approaches with a focus on livable places, and the creation of communities that enrich people's lives. The six academic programs within the School of Planning (Bachelor in Urban Planning, Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies, Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, Master of Community Planning, Master of Landscape Architecture and PhD in Regional Development Planning) offer specific coursework about the planning and design of innovative futures for urban communities and regions.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a field related to specific course content or topics or extensive work experience in lieu of a Master's degree.

Ideal Qualifications: Prior teaching experience and SITES AP are preferred.

Terms of Appointment: Part time appointment on a semester-by-semester basis, effective no sooner than January 2019.
