Student Worker - Graphic Designer - CECH Marketing Services

Location: Teachers-Dyer Complex, Clifton Campus, University of Cincinnati

The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technologoy (CECH) seeks a part-time student worker to assist the Marketing Services team. The Student Worker-Graphic Designer is responsible for maintaining university-branding standards for all college marketing and communication promotions. This role will work closely with the Marketing Coordinator on various projects and publications for the needs of the college.

This position will be an independent worker and self-starter who is able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Duties also include creation and implementation of graphic materials (logos, search pieces, flyers, programmatic promotion, photos, etc.).

Starting hourly rate $11.00/hr.

Minimum Requirements:

• Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school.
• Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), with the exception of summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term.
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• "Enrollment" shall include: The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled. The one "off" term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Should know how to use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Adobe Premier is a plus.
• Photography experience as well as being proficient in processing digital images using Adobe Photoshop strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design creatively within a visual identity system and manage brand standards.
• Excellent written/oral/interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to proactively self-manage time and tasks and maintain high, sustained levels of productivity under tight deadlines.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with a variety of partners and teams. In addition, must be able to work well in a team collaborative environment.
• Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and software tools.
