MANAGING EDITOR, MIT Press , to be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the editorial operation and the peer review process for a new pre-print server and journal in cryptocurrency research. Will work with editorial decision-makers, journal board members, peer reviewers, authors, manuscript submitters, and members of the journal's reading public. Responsibilities will include coordinating the decision-making and peer review process among associate editors and editors-in-chief (50%); answering e-correspondence from authors, prospective authors, reviewers, associate editors, guest editors, and other inquirers (10%); working with the EIC and associate editors to identify potential new authors (10%); developing a community of researchers and readers who will form the main audience for the journal (10%); communicating regularly with MIT Press production coordinator concerning status of expected final-version manuscripts (10%); and performing other duties as needed (10%).

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : a minimum of a B.A. or B.S.; knowledge of the cryptocurrency space including terminology and key and emerging topics; at least two years' experience working in a cryptocurrency-related field; strong English verbal and written communication skills; and discretion and good judgment with confidential information/issues. Publishing experience is preferred. Job #16634-N
