Required Qualifications:
* Demonstrated successful contributions in a professional, collaborative team environment.
* Demonstrated ability to conceive of, optimize, or augment business processes, and translate business requirements to information systems.
* Excellent communication, customer service, teamwork, and issue resolution skills.
* Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
* Willingness and demonstrated ability to continuously learn, improving technical and non-technical effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:
* 1 or more years of professional work experience developing ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Web API using C# and
JavaScript/JQuery.
* 1 or more years of professional work experience developing databases and creating complex queries using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
* Demonstrated professional experience using object-relational mapping (ORM) tools.
* Ability to maintain and modify legacy PHP code.
* Front-end development expertise. For example, experience developing Single Page Applications.
* Software testing expertise including unit testing, regression testing, system testing, load testing, and use of automated testing tools.
* 1 or more years of experience administering IIS 8.
* Experience with Git based version control and issue tracking systems.
* Demonstrated aptitude for leadership.

Position Summary:
This position is located within the UW-Madison School of Nursing Information Technology Department. This position is for a .NET web application developer with a solid software development background, demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, a love for consulting, and a passion for leveraging cutting edge technology to address our School's needs.

Primary high-level responsibilities are:
* Business Analysis - participate in the analysis of business requirements and high-level functional design of systems;
* Software Development - perform complex programming activities utilizing ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web Forms; conduct robust software testing;
* Software Support - Implement enhancements, perform regression testing, develop documentation, and troubleshoot/debug production systems; maintain legacy PHP applications;
* Project Management - lead all aspects of small to medium engagements with School customers.
