Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for the Director of Strength and Conditioning in the Athletics department.

The candidate would be expected to: design and implement sport-specific training programs; strength training, speed training, agility training, flexibility, plyometric training, and conditioning for football and Olympic sports teams; design, implement and lead the off-season and in-season strength and conditioning program for football student-athletes, including significant leadership responsibilities year round, and especially during the summer conditioning; collaborate with the Sports Medicine staff to develop sport-specific return to play rehabilitation protocols for injured student-athletes; direct supervision of Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach as well as two Intern Strength and Conditioning Coaches.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence, Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2013, Basic Knowledge of MS Excel 2013

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or comparable certification, or obtain by date of employment. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) current certification or obtain by date of employment.

Three years of sport-specific training/programming experience. Two years of supervisory experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning program, to include evaluation and training of strength and conditioning staff.

Two years of experience in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for collegiate football players. Demonstrated skills with Olympic lifting, general strength training movements and speed/agility drills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in exercise science or a related field.Additional related qualifications or certifications, such as Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Nutrition, Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), etc.
