Academic Researcher, Student Financial Aid

Academic Researcher - Student Financial Aid

The Academic Researcher will work primarily with the Student Financial Aid Office and Enrollment Management conducting data analysis and providing information and reports to include the following:
  • Assistance including using criteria to identify students eligible for Cincinnatus, Cincinnatus Out-of-State, and National Outreach scholarships. Create and revise queries in Slate to export applicant data. Using Cincinnatus award strategies, will determine award amounts.
  • master scholarship award files. Create award files for batch loads into Catalyst awarding scholarships for incoming freshmen and estimated scholarships for returning students.
  • files for award notification as well as creating and updating weekly tracking reports.
  • Cincinnatus-related fields in Slate and update accordingly for student exceptions.
  • data files evaluating scholarship recipients and eligibility for scholarship renewal.
  • and maintain a series of large reports including Annual Report, Benchmarking Report, Cincinnatus Offer Report, Cincinnatus Yield Report and more.
  • as the liaison for the Office of Institutional Research to complete the financial aid components of all national surveys and reporting requirements as well as a number of smaller surveys that require financial aid data.
  • file for submission to the Department of Education to complete annual reporting.
  • data files for use by Student Financial Aid supporting their mission and activities.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with three (3) years' experience OR an Associate's degree with five (5) years' experience OR seven (7) years of related experience.
  • Experience and education must be in a related field.
