Starting Salary Range: Starting Salary: $47,335 to $50,709 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Full 2018/19 Salary Range is $47,335 to $82,083>

Job Summary:
Portland Community College is looking for a Marketing Specialist/Content who under the direction of Communications management determines marketing goals to be achieved through writing. Develops strategic creative writing concept, style, and produces writing based on those goals and ensures that all communications enhance and build the image of the college.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Determining marketing goals to be achieved through writing. Developing strategic creative writing concept, style, and producing writing based on those goals.
2. Creative writing/copywriting in different styles based on medium, target audience and primary content subject for brochures, magazine articles, advertisements, news stories, fundraising materials, blogs, email campaigns and websites.
3. Leading and creating content for projects that are primarily writing focused, including speeches and talking points for special events, Presidential communications, PCC publications, assigned web pages, and social media

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, your application materials must show how you meet the following requirements (Note-experience requirements use full-time equivalent):

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or other liberal arts-related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Three years of experience performing professional-level writing for marketing and promotional campaigns.

- For new employees, official transcripts are required to be submitted within 2 weeks of offer date for all degrees stated in the minimum qualifications.
