Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree in business/management/human resources or related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
- Experience working in human resources and/or related business services.
- Knowledge of recruitment, assessment and selection strategies and methods.
- Knowledge of policies and laws related to human resources.
- Ability to use independent judgment, initiative, creativity, discretion and problem-solving.
- Ability to be resourceful and manage workload independently, while contributing to team projects, goals and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to engagement, inclusion and diversity.

Position Summary:
The position is located within Talent Recruitment and Engagement (TRE) in the Talent Management and Learning office in the Office of Human Resources (OHR) at UW-Madison, and reports to the Talent Recruitment and Engagement Director. The TRE group serves a central interface point with the campus community to recruit, retain, and sustain a high-quality workforce prepared to address the challenges of the 21st century in an educational environment.

This position is responsible for the executing recruitment activities and working with assessment and selection strategies that strengthen organizational capabilities to ensure that UW-Madison has the talent to remain a leader in education. Collaborates with college/division/unit human resource representatives and hiring managers to deliver effective and efficient strategies that identify, attract and lead to hiring high-quality talent, and utilize active and passive sourcing techniques to fill existing and future job openings. Executes coordinated hiring plan and recruiting strategies as well as enhance UW-Madison's visibility and reputation in key recruiting channels including recruiting for workforce diversity. Builds and strengthens key institutional relationships with professional organizations, key external partners and vendors. Supports the full cycle of the recruiting process including need assessment, search strategy creation, research, recruiting, interviewing, assessments, referencing, offer creation and negotiation, and coordinate with onboarding coordinator. Also serve as a subject matter expert regarding the UW-Madison recruitment and assessment policies and practices. Additional assignments may be assigned based on departmental needs.
