Job Summary The Sanders-Brown Center on Aging is looking for a self-motivated person to collaborate on web application development projects that will automate business processes and eliminate inefficient processes across the Center on Aging's research enterprise. Responsibilities for the Web Applications Developer will include meeting with all levels of supported staff collecting information pertaining to requested projects. The position will work closely with the Research Informatics Team, key faculty and staff center-wide to determine existing systems that may already satisfy a request. Develop, test, implement and maintain web-based data entry platforms and applications, extend the capabilities of current data entry platforms and applications, and construct data reporting systems and dashboards utilizing SQL back-ends, ASP . NET frameworks, JavaScript, and HTML / CSS on IIS /Drupal/SharePoint platforms. Perform data modeling, normalization, prototyping and assisting users in development of business rules. Determine logic and perform coding, testing, and debugging. Participate in test plans and communicate with stakeholders to improve the quality of the application. Troubleshoot reported issues, track system defects, and debug applications. Provide customer service and technical support for Center web applications.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The qualified candidate should be proficient in web application development using ASP . NET /C#, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP , and similar technology. SQL , Drupal, SharePoint, or JAVA experience a plus.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience Experience developing SQL database-driven web applications, and data entry frontends preferred.
