The Division of Student Affairs is seeking an experienced professional to join our team and advance our ongoing commitment to foster and maintain a campus environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment. We are searching for driven, proactive, impartial individuals who are experienced in investigative strategies. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator will assist California State University, Fullerton in achieving its goal of providing an open, diverse, and inclusive learning environment by conducting prompt, thorough, and objective investigations.

Under the direction of the Title IX Coordinator, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator will assist in providing appropriate response to reports of gender discrimination, which includes sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. These duties include day-to-day case management, conducting intake meetings, completing Early Resolution Agreements, and investigating complaints and writing detailed investigation reports. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator will also assist with designing and implementing training programs for students and employees, supporting campus-wide awareness campaigns, and assisting with the management of the Title IX website and outward facing media. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator will collaborate with University divisions and departments to effectively implement mandated services, programs and events for the department.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a relevant discipline. A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience conducting investigations alleging gender discrimination which includes sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, domestic and dating violence, and stalking or equivalent experience in conducting investigations alleging protected class discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, or in conducting law enforcement investigations. Experience and training regarding conducting sensitive and confidential investigations alleging gender discrimination. Knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state laws regarding gender discrimination. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to both be impartial and project impartiality and establish rapport with a diverse range of community members. Demonstrated ability to exercise superior judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential communications. Demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse population with cultural competence and sensitivity, as well as the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies including staff, students, faculty, administrators, and third parties with diplomacy and tact. Possession of strong organization and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to prepare complex reports and create effective presentations. Ability to handle a significant caseload and manage multiple deadlines. Ability to build relationships and establish collaborative partnerships across the university.
