Physical Requirements | The physical requirements of this position will include occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasionally holding and moving objects up to 10lbs; regularly working at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); and intermittent (10%) job-related travel. |
Shift | Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; may include some evenings, nights and weekends per departmental needs. |
Job Summary | The Training Specialist supports Human Resources Training & Development- Professional Development. This position will develop, deliver, and assess the effectiveness of professional development training programs for the University end-user; consult with managers and departments on potential performance related problems and recommend solutions; work collaboratively with team members to plan curriculum development and schedule of classes; and fulfill other assigned administrative responsibilities like maintenance of training rooms, marketing and promotion of classes, etc. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have previous experience developing, delivering, and assessing professional development training programs; proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent attention to detail; strong communication and presentation skills; exceptional planning and organizational skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service, time management, and judgment; and respect for confidentiality and diversity. |
