Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Required experience, includes at least 4 of the below list:
1. C++ and have successfully released software developed collaboratively.
2. Performance profiling/measurement tools.
3. Software packaging systems such as RPMs.
4. Source code repositories such as git.
5. Software testing frameworks.
6. Linux containers.

In addition, must have good oral/written communication skills.

Preferred experience:

Must have the ability to adapt to a variety of programming languages and environments.

Position Summary:
Our project is part of the U.S. Department of Energy Exascale Computing Program (ECP), developing software for the next generation of supercomputers. As part of our work on the DOE ECP, we are leading the effort to package and release software development tools. Our group will coordinate the packaging, testing, and release of our tools and tools from several peer projects, producing the Software Development Tools Software Distribution Kit (SDK).

In addition, this position includes some software development activities on our Dyninst binary code analysis and instrumentation tools. Our Dyninst tools are used in research and commercial products around the world, including being an integral part of Red Hat's SystemTap tool. This is a chance to join a team that develops new ideas and techniques in binary code analysis and modification, and produces release-quality software to support academia, government and industry.
