Master's degree required. Area of specialization preference is business, management, higher education administration or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
At least five years' experience administering financial management policies in a higher educational setting. At least five years of increasingly responsible administrative management and budget planning experience within a large and complex institution. Demonstrated ability to create an atmosphere of collaboration, customer service and success. Experience managing a staff with a variety of functions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in various software tools for financial management and budgeting. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change successfully.

Position Summary:
This position reports to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at the University of Wisconsin- Madison (divisional budget of $15 million). The primary responsibility of the Divisional Director for Administration and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is to provide leadership, strategic direction and oversight for all Division of Enrollment Management (DEM) budget and administrative activities. The position directs the overall budget planning, budget management, monitoring and financial management of the division. Responsibilities also include overseeing administrative and human resources processes of the division.

In collaboration with the Vice Provost, Deputy Vice Provost, and department Directors, this position directs the collection and presentation of data concerning the division's financial performance for internal and external review. This position is the division's main contact with campus and UW System regarding budget, business services and personnel-related budget issues.

As a key member of the division's leadership team, the Director for Administration and CFO participates with the Vice Provost, Deputy Vice Provost, and department Directors in policy development and is responsible for the financial aspects of strategic planning. This position is responsible for the development of the annual budget and implementation of the associated budgetary policies under which the division operates.
