Job Purpose
Performs various functions under the supervision of the Assistant Director, but works collaboratively with Undergraduate Admissions to deliver a variety of recruitment and advising efforts in support of attracting and enrolling an academically strong, and culturally diverse student population.

Essential Functions
Coordinate, plan, organize, and participate in various visitation programs to community colleges and satellite locations to attract non-traditional students. Includes monthly visits to each campus. Work with CRM Specialist to develop communication plan specific to transfer students to move prospects through the enrollment funnel. Evaluate and articulate transfer credit for prospective and incoming transfer students. Review admission files, determine eligibility, decide which applicants are qualified for admission, and make admission decisions to ensure each are being reviewed within 3 days of all items being received. Communicate personally with prospective transfer students to assist with their needs in order to increase matriculation. Schedule, promote, and host Transfer Tuesdays on campus each week. Plan and implement on-campus recruiting and yield events for transfer specific students. Establish contacts at branch of community college and communicate to them current events on campus. Determine reporting needs for monitoring recruitment of transfer students. Use reports to submit monthly reports on recruiting efforts and progress. Advise and propose solutions to the Assistant Director on issues that may create barriers to students' seamless transitions to Tennessee Tech. Assess student satisfaction on an ongoing basis and work quickly to resolve concerns/problems. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Two years of experience as an Admissions Recruiter and/or two years of experience advising transfer students. A valid driver's license. Willingness and ability to travel as needed (both daytime, nighttime and weekends). Experience working with high school and/or college students. Enthusiastic, creative, goal-oriented, innovative, and outgoing. Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills. High level of energy and self-motivated in addition to being able to work responsibly without supervision both individually and within a team environment. Comprehensive understanding and experience using software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and fundamental concepts of computer systems. Ability to establish immediate rapport and to communicate effectively (written and orally) with prospective students, parents, high school guidance counselors, and other staff on campus.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with customer service, public speaking, public relations, student services, marketing, writing, or guidance/education/counseling areas. Experience planning and coordinating projects and/or events. Experience evaluating transcripts. Experience with utilizing a CRM, texting platforms, and various social media outlets. Experience with Banner or other student information system.

Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Additional hours when needed for events and special transfer student visits.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience; Administrative Pay Grade AD42.
