The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University (AU) is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Chair, Department of Medicine.

The Medical College of Georgia is the largest medical school in Georgia and in partnership with Augusta University Health (AUH), a nationally renowned integrated academic health system, they form one of the most comprehensive public academic medical centers in the Southeast.  The Department, the largest department at MCG, is comprised of 10 divisions, 100+ full-time faculty, 400+ part-time faculty, 60+ internal medicine residents, more than 50 subspecialty and research fellows, and numerous postdoctoral fellows.

The next Chair will be a critical leader within the Health System and will be expected to partner with other Department Chairs and Health System leaders to elevate AUH to world-class levels of excellence in all aspects of performance including clinical quality, financial success, growth of patient volumes, patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and physician satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have an MD, MD/PhD, DO, or equivalent and have an outstanding record of academic accomplishments and demonstrated excellence in patient care, education, and research along with a commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
