Job Description:
The primary responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Deploying, configuring and maintaining web application delivery platforms, primarily IIS and Apache/Tomcat, Azure and Java applications
- Working with University application developers to deploy and migrate custom-built applications
- Testing and tuning to ensure performance and availability of centrally-managed web applications and hosting environments
- Administration of the University's two content management systems (Adobe AEM and SiteFinity)
- Administration of application development tools, such as Bamboo (build server) and GitHub Enterprise (code repository)
- Administration of BigIP load balancing configuration and maintenance
- Strong knowledge level of Linux operating systems and application configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related degree -OR- an Associate's degree with two (2) years' experience; -OR- four (4) years' of basic to intermediate level computer hardware related experience.
- Possesses working knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures and contributes through support, using established processes, methods, and systems.
Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with web application delivery platforms (IIS 7+, Apache, Tomcat), including configuration and performance tuning
- Familiarity with DevOps and/or Continuous Integration concepts
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from either an Application Development or a Development Operations environment
- Experience with any or all of the following tools and applications: Bamboo, GitHub, Adobe AEM, SiteFinity, OJS, and Hydra.
- Knowledge of networking, application load balancing, and BigIP configuration
